After over 15 years of working together on various creative projects, I had the chance to partner again with a long-time client to bring his latest venture to life — Raptor.
This brand is built for speed, precision, and performance. Raptor delivers cutting-edge 3D cable cam systems for broadcast, film, and live production. Their rigs fly overhead at high speed, capturing the kind of dynamic movement that elevates the entire viewing experience. And this weekend, they’re making their official debut at NRL’s Magic Round in Brisbane.
From day one, the goal was clear — build a visual identity that reflects the sharp, high-tech world Raptor operates in, while keeping everything clean, functional, and made to perform under pressure.
The logo was inspired by the bird itself — a raptor. It’s angular, fast, and dominant in the air. That energy carried through into the mark we designed, which suggests wingspan, movement, and tracking — exactly what their systems do on the field or film set.
For the typography, I leaned into a Swiss-inspired system. Clean, confident, and practical. The kind of type that works just as well on a broadcast spec sheet as it does printed across the back of a flight case.
Colour-wise, the foundation is a stripped-back palette of black, grey, and white — but with a sharp injection of vivid yellow. That yellow isn’t just for looks. It signals motion, energy, and a bit of danger — a subtle nod to caution tape, lens markings, and the high-intensity environments Raptor works in.
The website was designed to be fast, sharp, and functional. No fluff. Just high-impact visuals, concise messaging, and an easy path for potential clients to see what Raptor offers and how to get in touch. Whether you’re a broadcast director, a studio producer, or working in film, the message is clear: this brand moves.
We also developed social media templates, AR graphics, merch layouts, and product branding — everything needed to launch with impact and stay consistent across platforms. From digital overlays to crew uniforms, the system holds together under real-world conditions.
Launching at an event like Magic Round means everything has to be tight. No weak links. And that’s exactly how we approached the brand — every element refined to match the precision and professionalism of the tech it represents.
Raptor is here. Ready to fly.
